What do we do with the data that we collect from you?

  • When you comment on an article, we store your name, email address, comment and IP address in a database. The database is used to publish your comment on this website. Publication will include your name, a link to your website (if you told us about one) and your comment. We will never publish your email address on this website. If you post comments that breach the terms and conditions of use for this website, we might take steps to prevent your IP address from using this website.
  • When you tell a friend about this site, we use the information that you gave us to send your friend an email. None of the data that you gave us is stored.
  • When you use the "Contact Us" form, we use the information that you gave us to send an email to our site administrator. The email contains your name, email address, message and IP address. This information is not stored in a database. If you send us abusive messages, we might take steps to prevent your IP address from using this website. Any email that you send us might be published on the site, but we will never publish your email address.
  • When you report an objectionable post to us, we first of all send an email to the address that you gave us so that we can confirm that the address is genuine. This is done so that we can communicate with you again later in the moderation process. All of the data that you gave to us is stored in a database, so that our content moderator can investigate your objection. Later, when he or she has completed the moderation process, you will be sent another email telling you the moderator's decision.

What we don't do with your data
